elcome! I'm Tim and this is my little space on the web. This site was made so that I can share a bit about me and some of my work. Please explore around; I hope you find something you like.
I live in Tucson, Arizona and I enjoy a healthy combination of art, music, and engineering. You might find me picking up an interesting discarded piece of metal off the ground for use later in who knows what, or hitting various objects with other objects to explore the sound it makes and then recording it for use later in who knows what.
I attended the Rochester Institute of Technology for 3D Digital Graphics. After getting tired of the snow, I moved out here and I hope to get a degree in mechanical engineering from the U of A. My interests include guitar, piano, digital art and web design, record collecting, woodworking, collecting minerals, parkour, sound, and listing my interests on the Internet.
This site is a lot better on a Javascript-enabled browser. Seriously, you get picture descriptions and pretty animation and everything. Here's a helpful article (opens in new window) if you're unsure how to do this.

WattoOnline.com is now up and running! Watto Distinctive Metal Wear, based in Tucson, is a business that specializes in custom-made belt buckles, charms, and other very well-made metalwear. They do quality work, and I know I'll be wearing my own Watto buckle for years to come.
WattoOnline.com is a full-fledged site complete with shopping cart, blog, photo gallery, in-site search, and more. I learned a whole lot while making it, that's for sure. Many thanks to Mary for being a wonderful person to work with!

ll of my websites begin their lives as a blank page in a text editor. I code by hand for the most streamlined, efficient, and standards-compliant pages possible, and all of my sites utilize universally-supported XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript for maximum compatibility.
Apologies, but at the present time I am not available for general freelance work.
A truly great learning experience, WattoOnline.com is the full-featured web presence of metalcraft masters Jon and Mary Watson. Jon, nicknamed "Watto", makes high-quality metal belt buckles, pendants, keychains, moneyclips, and more. You can find more about them and their business on the site.
WattoOnline.com itself is packed to the brim with stuff like a full shopping cart, in-site search, custom-coded photo gallery, blog, pages that automatically update with new content, and a bunch of pretty little JavaScript sprinklings across the whole thing. A lot of interface elements took inspiration from iPhone's iOS, such as navigation "dots" and the Store page's "Show More" button. It's also more graphic-centric than my previous websites, which allows me to sustain a fitting grungy look. Best of all, almost all of the site's content can be easily changed or added to by Mary or Jon without them having to tinker around with code.
Mitch Canin is a Realtor in Tucson with a lot of experience under his belt and a lot of happy clients. Because of the wealth of information that comes with all that time the business, MitchCanin.com needed to be a large site with a lot of pages. I was able to streamline his content and break it up into an easily-navigated and fast website.
MitchCanin.com features Tucson MLS integration, a seamlessly integrated WordPress blog, and a few nice touches such as the front page's rotating splash image.
This totally counts. I just can't say no to having a little recursiveness on my site. And I don't need to write a lengthy description because you've seen it already. Splendid!
A long painting (this is actually a cropped version, believe it or not) inspired by a sunset on a camping trip. Depending on how you look, I also made it related to my love of sound.
This was done for an assignment that required the use of two completely different art styles and media in one piece. I have always admired the complete grasp of style and flow that many graffiti artists possess, and I also sketch a fair amount during my free time, so this combination was a natural for me.
Another attempt at painting. Clouds and skies are really fun to paint for me. They might become a forte of mine someday. This was used as a background by a friend for a gift to his dad on his birthday.
Trying out my hand at digital painting. It's a surprisingly refreshing and free medium and I would really like to do more with it.
